Gates of Olympus 1000 Review
Gates of Olympus 1000 is the bigger version of Gates of Olympus. The rules are the same, but the multiplier orbs go up to 1,000× and the max win is 15,000× your bet.
About the game
If you know Gates of Olympus, you already know how this one works: a 6×5 grid, wins anywhere on the screen, tumbles and multiplier orbs from Zeus. Pragmatic Play kept the pay table and the free spins the same and changed two numbers, the top orb and the max win.
That makes the game swingier. The quiet spells can be longer, but the top end is three times higher than in the original.
Gates of Olympus 1000 Features
Tumbles
Every win removes the winning symbols, new symbols drop in, and the game keeps going until there are no more wins. You get paid for the whole chain at the end.
Multipliers up to 1,000×
Orbs can land on any spin, in the base game and in free spins. Each one has a value from 2× up to 1,000×. When the tumbles stop, the orbs on the screen are added together and the spin's win is multiplied by the total. An orb on a spin without a win gives nothing.
Free spins
4 or more Zeus scatters give you 15 free spins, and 3 or more during the round add 5 more. In free spins every orb that lands on a winning spin goes into a total multiplier that doesn't reset until the round is over.
If you buy the bonus, the game guarantees 4 scatters on the spin that starts it.
Double Chance and Buy Free Spins
Double Chance to Win makes your bet 25% higher and doubles the chance of getting free spins. Buy Free Spins costs 100× your bet. You can only use one of them at a time.
Graphics
It looks like the original but darker and warmer: a deep purple grid, golden columns with fire bowls on top, and Zeus on the right in white and gold. The symbols are the same crown, hourglass, ring, chalice and five gems.
How to play
Pick your bet (the demo starts at 0.20) and spin. 8 or more of the same symbol anywhere on the grid is a win. For the bonus you need 4 scatters, or you can buy it.
Symbols and payouts
The pay table is the same as in Gates of Olympus. The crown pays the most, 50× your bet for 12 or more:
| Symbol | 8–9 | 10–11 | 12+ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crown | 10× | 25× | 50× |
| Hourglass | 2.5× | 10× | 25× |
| Ring | 2× | 5× | 15× |
| Chalice | 1.5× | 2× | 12× |
| Red gem | 1× | 1.5× | 10× |
| Purple gem | 0.8× | 1.2× | 8× |
| Yellow gem | 0.5× | 1× | 5× |
| Green gem | 0.4× | 0.9× | 4× |
| Blue gem | 0.25× | 0.75× | 2× |
RTP, volatility and max win
RTP in the demo is 96.50%, and 96.49% if you buy the bonus. Some casinos use lower settings, so check the game info first.
The max win is 15,000× your bet (12,000× of the higher stake with Double Chance). Pragmatic Play says you reach it about once in 2.75 million rounds. The game is high volatility, both in the rules and on the start screen.
Other versions
The original Gates of Olympus is calmer, with orbs up to 500× and a 5,000× max. Starlight Princess 1000 is the same 1000 idea with an anime theme.
